Welcome to Australian Music Events 2009 / 2010

Opera in the Alps 2010 in January was a resounding success featuring two of Australia's most popular performers, MARINA PRIOR and DAVID HOBSON. They were joined by 100 voices and 50-piece Melbourne Youth Orchestra led by one of Australia's most exciting conductors, BENJAMIN NORTHEY.

In other exciting news we are pleased to announce soprano, TIFFANY SPEIGHT, and tenor, ROSARIO LA SPINA, as Guest Artists for Opera in the Market 2010 on 22nd and 24th March. Details for Opera by the Lock 2011 will be announced in the coming months, so keep an eye on our website. We will take a break from this event in 2010.

On 13 September the Australian Scholars presented their annual Springtime Concert. In 2009 it was held at the beautiful Abbotsford Convent.

In presenting beautiful music in beautiful and unusual places we hope to stimulate and challenge talented young orchestral players, singers and choristers, and to attract new audiences to experience leading Australian and International artists.

We do hope to see you at one or more of these events in 2009 / 2010.
