Ticketing Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions of Sale of Tickets for Opera in the Alps:
1. As a condition of sale, there are no refunds, exchanges or cancellations once the booking is complete except as otherwise specified by the Seller - Australian Music Events (AME) or Beechworth Visitor Information Centre (BVIC).
2. The right is reserved by the Presenter (AME) to add, withdraw, reschedule or substitute artists and / or vary advertised programs, prices, venues, seating arrangements and audience capacity.
3. A non-refundable Booking Fee of $2.50 will be charged for individual purchases and $15.00 for Coach Bookings.
4. The right is reserved to charge a Handling Fee for the replacement of lost tickets.
5. The right of admission is reserved and is subject to the Seller's and the Venue's terms of admission.
6. The recording of, or televising of, events is not permitted unless authorised by AME.
7. It may be a condition of entry to individual events that a search of person and / or their possessions will be required at the time of the entry to the venue.
8. Entry may be refused if tickets are damaged or defaced in any way or are not purchased from AME or BVIC.
9. Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of AME, be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including via on-line auction sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services, either by the original purchaser or any subsequent bearer. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission.
Scalping warning: The resale of tickets in certain circumstances is governed by ticket sales legislation and may attract criminal penalties.
10. GST will apply to all goods and services supplied.
11. Suitable and valid identification must be provided for collection of tickets and at the venue.
• Lost tickets:
A Handling Fee may be charged for lost tickets.
When contacting us about lost or stolen tickets please ensure you have:
* Your details on how you paid for the ticket/s * details of the event including: name, date, time and venue. * an explanation of the circumstances.
Only the credit card holder is entitled to collect the Lost Ticket Voucher upon presentation of their credit card used to make the booking and sufficient photo identification.
• Abandoned, Cancelled or re-scheduled performances:
Australian Music Events will only authorise the refund of a ticket if an event is cancelled or postponed.
If a performance is cancelled or abandoned by the Presenter, and if the Ticket Holder is unable to attend the re-scheduled performance, or if the performance is not re-scheduled, the Presenter will ensure that the Ticket Holder receives a refund of the Ticket price less handling charge. Ticket Holders should apply for a refund in writing as soon as possible after the event. The original ticket (s) and proof of purchase will be required.
If a performance is abandoned (due to rain, adverse weather or fire) after at least 45 minutes of the program, refunds will not apply.
• Refund and exchange conditions:
If a refund is made, AME and BVIC may, to the extent permitted by law, retain any Fee they have charged. In most cases, tickets must be returned to the place where they were purchased ie. AME, BVIC.
If a Ticket Holder reports a problem for which they feel they have grounds for complaint, other than those specified in these Terms, and has reported the problem to the Venue before the completion of the performance, the Presenter should take all reasonable steps to determine whether the Ticket Holder is entitled to an exchange option or refund. Where a substitute seat is found that is satisfactory to the Ticket Holder, no refund will be available.
At all times, the original ticket(s) and proof of purchase may be required, and any refund may not necessarily be available at the Venue at the time the complaint is made.
A Presenter will not be required to provide an exchange option or refund where:
* the Ticket Holder is unable or chooses not to attend the performance, or where the Ticket Holder has been refused entry or evicted from the venue in any of the circumstances; * a Ticket Holder applies for a refund only on the grounds that a performance does not meet his or her expectations.
Terms of Admission:
• Right to refuse entry:
The circumstances in which a Presenter (AME) or Venue (La Trobe at Beechworth) may refuse entry to the Venue to a Ticket Holder include, but are not limited to, any of the following circumstances:
* where a Ticket Holder cannot produce a valid Ticket; * where a concession Ticket Holder cannot produce proof of their concession entitlement; * where a Ticket Holder produces a Ticket that has been purchased or obtained through an unauthorised source, or where the Ticket has been obtained by illegal means; * where a Ticket Holder has in his or her possession or refuses to surrender to the Venue any prohibited object or article that is not permitted to be brought into or used in that Venue; * where a Ticket Holder is behaving in a manner which may cause property damage or that threatens the safety of performers, other Ticket Holders, or any other persons.
• Right to evict a Ticket Holder:
The circumstances in which a Presenter or Venue may evict a Ticket Holder from the Venue include, but are not limited to, any of the following circumstances:
* where a concession Ticket Holder cannot produce proof of their concession entitlement; * where a Ticket Holder has in his or her possession or refuses to surrender any prohibited object or article that is not permitted to be brought into or used in that Venue; * where a Ticket Holder is behaving in a manner which may cause property damage or that threatens the safety of performers, other Ticket Holders, or any other persons; * where a Ticket Holder is behaving in a manner that reasonably interferes with other Ticket Holders’ enjoyment of the performance; and
* where a Ticket Holder refuses to remain in the area or seat designated on their Ticket.
Terms and Conditions of Sale of Tickets for Opera by the Lock:

Where a substitute seat is found that is satisfactory to the Ticket Holder, no refund will be available.
At all times, the original ticket(s) and proof of purchase may be required, and any refund may not necessarily be available at the Venue at the time the complaint is made.

2. The right is reserved by the Presenter (Australian Music Events-AME) to add, withdraw, reschedule or substitute artists and / or vary advertised programs, prices, venues, seating arrangements and audience capacity.

4. The right is reserved to charge a Handling Fee for the replacement of lost tickets.
5. The right of admission is reserved and is subject to the Sellers’ and the Venue's terms of admission.

Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of AME, be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including via on-line auction sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services, either by the original purchaser or any subsequent bearer. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission.
